The Body Shop 'Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask' Review

Hello! I've been after a pampering face mask for a while, I enjoy using Montagne Jeunesse satchets, however I wanted a face mask which I would be able to use and keep in it's container. I love browsing The Body Shop online, wishing I had all the products in my cupboard - can you imagine?! Plus, they always send me inviting emails with promotions and discount codes, so that's my excuse!

The Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask retails at £12.00 which I personally find quite pricy, if you include postage too. Luckily, I found a discount code which brought the price down to £10.79, including postage! It was dispatched the morning after I ordered, which was great. The mask is for "Combination/Oily Skin". I don't suffer from oily skin, I just wanted to treat my skin.
"This revitalising clay mask cleanses skin and controls excess oil. Draws out impurities, refreshing and clarifying".

The Seaweed mask smells really lovely. I think the 'seaweed' was making me think it might have a unique smell! One thing I would think improve is if the Body Shop included instructions. I know it's a face mask, so it's going to go on my face of course but perhaps a guideline for how long to leave it on for would help. I left mine on for around ten minutes. I really loved the firming feel it gave to my skin after a few seconds of applying it to my face. As I was applying it, I could really feel it cleansing my skin and it felt gorgeous!
After washing it off, I was really pleased with the product. It left my skin feeling smooth and fresh. It is definately refreshing and I think my skin will thank me for it! I am happy I bought this product and would definately recommend it to you if you are searching for a face mask!
Have you tried any Body Shop face masks?

L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Review

Welcome to my first beauty review! Hair oils are so popular right now and I can definately see why! I recently bought L'Oreal's Elvive Extraordinary oil. My hair never used to feel smooth and silky even after a deep conditioning treatment, but luckily this soon changed.

Here it is in its gorgeous glass bottle. It is aimed at all hair types and includes a precious blend of six flower extracts. It promises "Versatile use, sumptuous softness, luxurious shine and weightless touch."You can use this as a pre-shampoo treatment, before blow-drying or as a finishing touch. I personally use it before I blow dry my hair. I apply around two "precious drops" onto the lower half of my hair, paying extra attention to my ends. I love the glossy feeling it gives as I smoothe it onto my hair.

After drying my hair, my overall view is this simple - it really does work. It does exactly what it says and has really left my hair feeling much more smoother than without this product. It definately has made my hair feel silkier. My hair feels in a much better condition than before using this product. and I would highly recommend it! This retails at £9.99 but I have a secret for you! If you sign up to L'Oreal Insider, you can recieve personalised vouchers by choosing which products you like the most. (e.g. skincare, hair oil). I chose hair oil as mine and recieved a £2.50 off Extraordinary oil voucher which I used in Boots.
If you're yet to try it, you can apply for a free sample here.
Let me know what you think! x

Owl City

Don't you just love owls? There are so many pretty objects you can decorate your bedroom or home with, I've picked my personal favourites and I hope you like them too!

First up, it's cushions! I'm afraid I haven't got an owl cushion but I definately need to invest in one! They are so pretty and are a perfect decoration. I actually found these on a childrens website, but I would definately buy them! They are £14.99 each at KnotJustJigs.

I've been eyeing up these owl bookends on eBay for a while! They are £8.50 for the set and would definately liven up your bookshelf!

I love this owl paperweight, it's gorgeous! And the best part is it only costs £3 from Asda.

You may well like owls so much that you'd love an owl knitted jumper! I know I would! I found this from Red Herring at Debenhams.

Last but not least, check out these stunning home decor items from Sass&Belle. Left: Two owls heart decoration. Middle: Owl earring stand (my personal fave!). Right: Home Sweet Home sign.

Mothers Day Gift Ideas!

As you may or may not be aware, Mothers Day is slowly creeping up on us - March 10th. If you're anything like me, you may want to get your card and present ready OR you'll pick something up on Mothers Day! Either way, I thought I would put together a few things I have come across which I think are perfect for Mums!

The above gifts are so cute! And best of all, you can get these at Poundland! The cupcake set is great for any mums who love baking! I adore the middle hanging heart which reads 'Mum, you can hold my hand for a while, but you will hold my heart forever'. You may think 'cheesy' but I think it's sweet! Lastly, the keyholder is so pretty and definately practical!

You can't go wrong with Sanctuary! This gorgeous set is currently on offer at Boots, reduced from £40 to £19. The set includes: body wash, bath soak, body scrub, salt scrub sachet, body butter, body lotion, bath float, heel balm. Also, how glam is the shower cap that comes with the set! Its a great present for just under £20 and it comes in a stunning box too!

These placques are so gorgeous! I bought my mum this one for Christmas, but obviously it can be bought for any occassion! The Grandma one is so sweet too! I bought mine in a market, but you can buy these for £9.50 each with free delivery too!

My Winter Sale Items!

There's nothing I love more than finding a bargain, especially when its an item of clothing thats 'me'. I know it's March next week but it's still so cold that it was perfectly neccessary for me to stock up on some more jumpers! This may sound odd, but I actually wouldn't mind if it was winter all year, so I can stay comfy in jumpers and leggings! And of course it's a good excuse to eat stodgy comfort food when it's cold outside!

Left: I found this jumper in the sale from George at Asda. Reduced from £15 to £8! Any jumper with a heart on is sold to me!
Middle: I bought this 'stone ribbed' oversized jumper on New Look's website (New Look just can't go wrong for me!)  This was reduced from £19.99 to £8.
Right: I found this gorgeous jumper from F&F at Tesco, from £14 to £7. I think this is a lovely bright colour which will look good with skinny jeans!

Above: I found this rose cream bow jumper in the online New Look sale, reduced from £19.99 to £10.
Overall, I managed to save myself around £30 - I struggle with maths!! -but I'm pretty happy with these to keep me warm .... I hope the sun stays away just for a few days so I can start wearing them! (Sorry sun worshippers!)
