New Herbal Essences 'Bee Strong' Intensive Conditoner: Review.

I have an ever growing collection of deep conditioning treatments, yet that never stops me buying more! I've got a bad habit of over straightening my poor hair, so I never go a wash without conditioner. I always use a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week, usually during a pampering session! Herbal Essences is my favourite hair care range to use. Not only do their products agree with my hair, but they also have incredibly reasonable prices too! When I heard that Herbal Essences were bringing out a new intensive conditioner, I went on the hunt for it straight away! I finally found it in Tesco, half price for £2.19; therefore it was perfectly acceptable for me to buy two!!

'Bee Strong' is a strengthening intensive mask for damaged hair. Bee Strong promises to give you silkier and stronger hair after just one wash. 'Tackle dryness and combing damage and say hello to silky-strong locks. This rich moisturising mask helps repair signs of combing damage from root to tip'. The first thing you will notice when you open the tub is that it smells absolutely gorgeous! It has honey and apricot extracts. The conditioner is a lovely thick texture. I applied it halfway down my hair, applying extra to my ends. I left it to work its magic for up to ten minutes and then rinsed off. As I rinsed off, I could feel how soft it had made my hair. After drying, I can say my hair noticeably looks in better condition. I will continue to use this product each week as a treatment and I can recommend it to you too! You can also get Bee Strong products in shampoo, conditioner and strengthening cream.

Have you tried any of the 'Bee Strong' range? x

My Latest Beauty Buys.

It's my sister's birthday coming up soon, so I used that as the perfect excuse to go shopping! I can't show you what I chose her as I know she'll read this! I also found about an offer on Soap and Glory in Boots, so that's where I headed first! Currently at Boots, if you spend £10 on Soap&Glory (not skincare or cosmetics), then you will get a completely free 'Butter Yourself' body cream worth £10.50! I love Sugar Crush body scrub, so it was the perfect excuse for me to try out Sugar Crush body wash. (I really need to stop buying shower gels, it's getting out of hand). To make it up to £10, I got the travel size version of 'Scrub of your life' and also 'Hand Maid' to keep in my handbag to keep me squeaky clean! I am so pleased with this purchase, the four items only cost me £11.50!

I also needed a liquid eyeliner, so I chose my favourite Rimmel's Exaggerate eyeliner in 100% Black. I fancied a new eye shadow too so I picked Rimmel's Glam Eye's shadow in 'Smokey Quartz'. Next I went to good old Poundworld where I picked up Kleenex Facial Cleansing Wipes, Two Revlon nail varnishes and a Glorious Mud clay face mask! I'm looking forward to trying out the face mask, you can expect a review soon! You can read more about my nail varnish bargains here.

Here we have even more shower gels (see what I mean?!). I couldn't resist as they looked so pretty on Poundworld's shelves and they smell so gorgeous! I love ... Calypso Dreams shower gel/bubble bath and I love .... mango and papaya shower smoothie!

What have you bought lately? x

Four Nail Varnishes For £4!

You may have noticed by now that I love a bargain. So I had to share with you my latest nail bargains, four brand new polishes for a pound each! The two Avon 'Nailwear Pro's are from Sophie Meola's Blog Sale. Check out her sale if you fancy some beauty bargains (Who doesn't?!). The two Revlon nail varnishes are both from Poundworld. I think you have to have a good rummage round as they are usually hidden at the back! You can see from the picture that the text on the packaging has faded slightly, perhaps that's why they were such a bargain!

Avon Nailwear Pro in 'Luxe Lavender' and 'Vintage Blue'.
Revlon Scented Parfume Nail Enamel - 'Pretty in Papaya'.
Revlon Nail Enamel - 'Blue Lagoon'.

You can expect to see more of these nail varnishes in NOTD posts I have planned!

L'Oreal Visable Radiance Cleansing Milk and Gel Toner Review.

I picked up these matching 'Visable Radiance' cleanser and toner for the bargain price of £2 each in Asda! Seriously, Asda have so many beauty bargains! As you can see, I also picked up L'Oreal's Eye Make-up remover for £2 too, but I will review that in a seperate post!

Let's start with the cleanser. I'll make a beauty confession and tell you I haven't cleansed my face for so long (sorry!), so now I'm making the effort to really use all the usual products at night before bed! It's a 'Renewing Cleansing Milk' which includes Hydra-Novil and Vitamin C. It promises to cleanse and detoxify your skin, whilst boosting the radiance and improve your skin texture. It's also an anti-ageing cleanser - Ok I'm only 20 but it's not doing me any harm and prevention is better than cure! The milk is a thick, soft and creamy texture and has a light fragrance. After use, I'm always suprised at just how much makeup and dirt it picks up, even after I think I've removed all makeup with a facial wipe! I'm using this as part of my daily routine as it really works with my skin! My skin feels so much more refreshed than usual and leaves my skin feeling all new and fresh!

The toner is a 'Renewing Gel Toner', which also includes Hydra-Novil and Vitamin C. It promises to even skin tone, boost radiance and to diminish the appearance of pores. The gel has a lovely fresh ragrance and is more noticeable than the cleanser's scent. After use, it gives my skin that lovely clean feeling you get after using a a face mask! Also, if you're wondering what 'Hydra-Novil' is - I know I was - L'Oreal describe it as being known for its hydrating and gentle exfoliating properties. I enjoy using both the cleanser and toner  each night (I'm too lazy in the morning!). I would really recommend these, if like me you have normal or senstive skin and could do with a radiance boost!

Have you tried any of L'Oreal's skincare range? x

Along Came Betty: Pore-Fect Polish Review.

If you're yet to stumble across Along Came Betty, you can find it in the beauty aisles of Tesco. Along Came Betty is "A beautifully created range of body and skincare products, inspired by 1950's screen stars and timeless beauty icons still famed for their natural flawless skin." The products first caught my eye before Christmas when they were brought into Tesco with brilliant introductory offers! I picked up this Pore-fect Polish facial scrub for the price of £1.99! It's now £3.99, which is still a great price!

This is described as a 'De-stress Face Scrub'. I bet you've noticed the gorgeous packaging! It includes purifying anti-oxidant Vitamin B which promises to 'unclog those ghastly pores'. "Massage gently onto damp skin, giving extra attention to problem areas. Rinse and pat skin dry before applying your daily moisturiser." When using this scrub the first thing you'll notice is that it smells absolutely beautiful. If you're a fan of the scent of S&G's Peaches and Clean, then this is for you! The scrub is so simple to use as you can tell from their instructions! It refreshes my skin and makes my skin appear brighter! I have used this once or twice before already and will continue to include it in my skincare routine!
Along Came Betty have also just released a cosmetics range, which I am dying to try out! Everything looks so gorgeous and the prices are extremely affordable! Keep an eye out next time you're in Tesco!
Have you tried any Along Came Betty products? x

Benefit's #FakeUp Beauty Launch!

I was lucky enough to be invited to Benefit's #FakeUp event to launch their brand new concealer, Fake Up! Blogging is very new to me so I am so pleased that I got the chance to attend and meet the Benefit girls and other bloggers! I was nervous beforehand as this was the first blogging event I had been to and didn't know anyone! Here's what we were greeted with!

We spent time introducing ourselves to other bloggers and having a chat! The lovely Benefit girls, Lisa, Rachel, Alison and Joanne introduced themselves to us and told us more information about FakeUp. The ladies then ran a fun quiz with lucky bloggers winning themselves some perfect Benefit prizes such as PoreFessional and 'They're Real!'. We were then let loose to test out loads of products here at the dressing table! It was great fun to try all these products and I think every girl wished we had all of them in our makeup bags! Sorry the photo is not the best!

The ladies then spent time matching us up with our perfect colour as they revealed we would be taking home 'Hello Flawless' powder in our goodie bags! I also tried out the matching foundation and I'm definately considering buying this!

All the gorgeous goodie bags lined up!

Here's what the gorgeous and very generous Benefit team gave us as a treat! We were given all three shades of the FakeUp concealer as Lisa had shown us how to contour using all three shades! I really enjoyed the night, it was so kind of Benefit to come and visit us in Wales! The ladies really put a huge effort into making us feel comfortable and to enable us to enjoy the night! Thank you Benefit!

FakeUp will be priced at £18.50 and will be available for you to buy from the 30th March, 2013! x

Purely Natural '1 For All' Face Scrub

I spotted Purely Natural over on twitter, who were looking for bloggers to choose and review one of their products. They were kind enough to send me my chosen product - 1 For All Face Scrub. The first thing you need to know about Purely Natural is that all their products are handmade and are 100% natural - sounds perfect to me! There are lots of products available ranging from helping eczema, psoriasis, normal skin and more! I love to exfoliate my face so I headed straight over to the facial scrub area!

"This 100% natural face scrub will leave your skin feeling lovely and smooth that’s a guarantee.
Your new best friend, if you are looking to add a glow to your skin. Sugar is a natural glycolic acid, which has become famous for it’s ability to exfoliate your skin naturally."
The Scrub aims to remove dead skin cells, giving you a brighter and radiant look.

My first impressions of the product was that it is a very sweet smell of lemon and sugar! The grains are excellent for exfoliating! I applied it very gently to my skin and it felt so amazing when applying! When applying the scrub you can really feel it exfoliating off those pesky dead skin cells! As I washed it off, my skin was feeling gorgeously smooth and I knew straight away this was going to be one of my new favourites! My skin was left feeling soft and definately looking brighter too! I will be using this product at least twice a week!
The 1 For All scrub retails for £6.95 for a 50ml tub. I personally feel this is a great price as it is handmade, 100% natural and you only need a very small amount to apply!
You can view more of Purely Natural's products here. I will definately repurchase the product and I'm also eyeing up the natural cleanser too!

I've Been Shopping - Part Two

Carrying on from my last post, I thought I'd show you a few new clothes that I picked up too! I'm a big lover of knitwear, so of course this post will include that!

Top Left: I love this gorgeous 'tweet' jumper which is originally from New Look, but I found it on eBay for just £4!
Top Right: The bright colours here really caught my eye in Primark! And then I saw it was in my size and reduced to the grand total of £5! Bargain or what?!
Bottom Left: I've fancied a top with 'A' on it for a while, but have never seen one I felt was 'me'. I picked this up from New Look's online sale for £13.
Bottom Right: As you may know from a previous post, I adore cats! So a cat knitwear was of course necessary! Plus it was reduced from £14.99 to £10, so what more could I want?

Left: I chose this bargain top at Primark for the great price of £6! I love stripes and the jewels on the shoulder really brighten up the top!
Right: I adore this polka dot dress! It's a lighter blue than it seems in the picture and as you can see it comes with a brown belt! I think this will be perfect for the summer!

I thought I'd include this celebration cake and cards my lovely mum and sister gave me yesterday! As I got my result for my first part of my psychology AS exam and managed to get myself a C!

I've been shopping!

Hello! I thought I would write a blog post on my latest items. The majority of the time, I like to save my money but you just have to treat yourself too, don't you?!

I've been looking for a cleanser and toner as I'm in the bad habit of just using a makeup wipe before I go to bed! So, as I was browsing Asda, I picked up these three L'Oreal items for the grand total of £6! Visible radiance cleansing milk and renewing gel toner - these make my skin feel so squeaky clean! I always get fascinated by how much dirt comes off on the cotton pads! (£1 for a huge bag in asda!). I definitely needed an eye makeup remover as I've noticed a few lost eyelashes recently! I picked up L'Oreal's gentle eye makeup remover, also for £2 - what a bargain! The Elemis Fresh Skin was free with this month's Cosmopolitan magazine so I chose the 'Softly Softly daily moisturiser' and I'm looking forward to trying it out! I also picked up a heated eyelash curler from Poundland, purely out of interest to see if it works as I don't currently use an eyelash curler.

For a while, I have been lusting after Lee Stafford's 'Hair that never grows past a certain length' after reading great reviews! I'm growing my hair so I'm looking forward to trying this out and seeing if it works for me! Whilst in Poundland I saw this 'Mellor & Russel' deep conditioning hair repair mask with argan oil. For a pound, I couldn't leave it there! Will be interesting to see how it works on my hair! Expect a review coming soon!

I was in dire need of a storage room (my bedroom is so small!). I love owls, so when I saw this in The Works I knew I had to have it! It was £6.99 or there was an offer for two for £10, so my friend and I had one each. They had lots of other pretty designs too, if you are after a storage box! I'm hoping to put my skincare products in here.
I also bought some new clothes but I will add them in a new post! Have you treated yourself lately? x

I'm In Love With Fashion x

This week I had an email about a blogger competition - all you have to do is create a wishlist for "In Love With Fashion" and you could win a £200 voucher to spend on their website! I have browsed their website online before and they have the most gorgeous clothes!
In Love With Fashion website is laid out really well. The first thing I notice is two good offers (that's my saving money instincts!). Free worldwide delivery and get yourself 20% if you are a student!

The first tab I head over to is 'celebrities'. I love it when fashion websites show celebrities styles and how you can dress the same. It's so helpful and saves us shoppers time from searching all over the internet! Here's my personal fave, 'Pippa print playsuit'.

For my wishlist, I've decided to pick my favourite dress, knitwear, top etc!

LOVE White Floral Bomber Jacket - £48.

LOVE Aqua and Orange Batwing Knitwear - £28.
Premiere Price: 0

LOVE Arcadia Long Sleeve Lace Top - £28.

LOVE Nude Short Lace Skirt - £30.00.

LOVE Beige Alice Floral Print Sleeveless Dress - £36.00

Overall, I am really impressed with ILWF, there's an excellent variety of clothing. They have clothes that are perfect for my style and they also have lots of different styles of clothing available - there's definately something for everyone! You can see more here.
What do you think of my wishlist? X

Freederm 'Overnight Clearing Serum' Review.

I was lucky enough to win Freederm's New 'Overnight Clearing Serum' on Twitter recently. Freederm skincare is designed especially for spot-prone skin. They also won Company's Beauty Awards 2012 last year - and I can see why. First, I should say that I am lucky enough to not get spots very often. But as if by magic, the product arrived just I got a small spot on my forehead!

Freederm Overnight Clearing Serum - click to enlarge

I have used Freederm's picture as I accidentally tore the packaging! "Freederm Overnight Clearing Serum’s dual action formula works through the night to both fight spots and hydrate the skin, making it a great addition to your daily skincare routine."
"Applied to the face just before going to bed, it works alongside the skin’s natural repair process to help reduce spot size and redness whilst visibly hydrating the skin and restoring healthy skin texture." So, I applied the serum at night, washing my hands after use incase I spread the spot! I can honestly say this product really works! The redness had reduced by a visible amount by the morning and I am really impressed by this serum!
After reading up more information on the serum, it is advised to use this daily as it also moisturises and hydrates the skin! It advises to use this each night after cleansing. I will definately include this into my skincare routine as I feel it really helped my skin overnight!
Freederm is available to buy instore at Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Morrisons and more! You can also find it online at Chemist Direct for the great price of £5.29. This product is definately worth investing in, especially if you are prone to spots or keep as a treatment to use when a spot arrives!
Have you tried any Freederm skincare? X

How to: Exfoliate your body.

Sounds pretty simple, right? As far as I'm concerned, you cover yourself in a gorgeous body scrub and voila - you've exfoliated! But, I never asked myself why we need to exfoliate.
According to skin care experts at St Ives, "Regular removal of 'skin debris' is essential to aid the secretion of sebum, which provides fatty acids that the skin needs to fight harmful germs and infections. It also gives a shine or glow.
I love body scrubs. Take the time to choose one that's just right for you! Here's my collection of body exfoliators that I'm currently working my way through - any excuse for a pamper night! Sorry the picture isn't too great!

Here we have Soap&Glory's Sugar Crush Body Scrub - smells so delicious! Sanctuary's Salt Scrub which I am yet to try, although my mum advises me not to scrub too hard as it can be quite harsh. Lastly Along Came Betty's one polish body exfoliator which smells gorgeous! These are my pink exfoliating gloves which I recently picked up at Poundworld - I wonder if they are meant to be mismatched?! They really come in handy though!
Using either a loofah or exfoliating gloves, squeeze your body scrub into your palms. Start at the bottom with your ankles and work your way up! Use a seperate exfoliator which is designed just for your face, as body scrubs may be too harsh on your face. It is usually advised to exfoliate between one and three times a week, depending on your skin. Anything more may irritate the skin.
As an alternate, you can use a natural bristle brush with no products. Focus on the back of arms and thighs. It's called dry skin brushing. This round wooden brush has soft bristles to gently massage and exfoliate the skin. It removes dead skin cells, helps stimulate skin microcirculation and is ideal for dry skin that needs regular exfoliation. It's available at The Body Shop, I'd definately give this a try!

After exfoliating all over your body, don't forget to moisturize! I love to use Soap&Glory's Smoothie Star Body Milk after a bath or shower as it smells purely amazing! And of course it moisturizes too!

Do you use exfoliator? x
