Sleek Bronze Block 'Light' Review.

Sleek Bronzer Block - £7.49

For over a year now, I've fallen in love with using bronzers as part of my daily makeup routine. A few of my favourites include Benefit's Hoola and Sleek's Contour Kit, so you can imagine my delight when I was lucky enough to try out the Sleek Bronze Block* in shade 'Light'. I would just like to mention that this doesn't affect the honesty of my review, I am a fan of Sleek products and am really happy to have found a good bronzer which is remarkably cheaper than Hoola! As you can see Sleek are offering a pretty unique bronze here as it is a block which includes three separate shades of bronzer and one blush. I love that the block's different shades means that you can create a versatile look. If I fancy a blush one day, I can use my block and if I want a bronzer the next, I can use the block too! Each shade can be used separately or blended together. It's definitely cheaper than buying the two products separately. My favourite way to use the block is to sweep my brush over the three bronzing powders and then apply to my cheekbones. The textures of the shades have a smooth texture and I find it easy to blend in. The Sleek Bronze Block is available in two varieties - Light and Dark - perhaps we could do with a medium? Here I have the 'Light' bronze block. The outer packaging is 'sleek' and sophisticated (See what I did there?). I love the pretty outer packaging it arrives in and the actual bronze block is in a thick black compact which includes a mirror - so its perfect to carry around in your handbag.

Now that I've told you a bit about the actual Bronze Block - it's time for me to tell you about the results. Oh my, I have to say I think this beats Hoola hands down, no doubt about it. I've mentioned before that I often think my face is rather round like the moon, so for a bronzer to be able to create cheekbones on my face, it has to have some power. The Bronze Block has the power! It gives me such definition in my cheeks and adds a sunkissed glow to my somewhat pale face. The only negative I do have to say about the bronze block is that you need to be careful when applying as it can get a little 'muddy'. I know that a lot of bronzers can have this effect, especially if too much is used or its not been blended enough but I find that I have to use just a very light amount of the product otherwise I end up looking rather Clown like. The lasting power, I hear you ask? Hands down, it's pretty amazing. The day of writing this review, I just looked in the mirror and thought 'God my bronzer's lasted well' - It's been 12 hours since I last applied and it still looks just as good. With all my positive feedback now safely tucked away into this blog post, I'll finish off on another positive - the price tag! Sleek are such an affordable brand yet still offer the high quality that we look for. The Sleek Bronze Block retails at just £7.49.

Would you try a bronzing block? x
