Do More Of What Makes You Happy.

If there's one thing I've learnt in life so far, it's that we deserve to be happy. Life can throw us obstacles to overcome and often things happen to get us down, but each time that makes us grow stronger as a person. I may be sounding rather soppy or philosophical right now, to which I apologise about! For today's post I wanted to show you a few things that make me happy. When I am feeling down, I allow myself to just get lost in whatever it is I want to do that day. Sometime with hobbies, I almost feel a little pressure on myself - as if I should be doing something more productive with my time - however if it's making me feel happy and I have time to spare, then that is productive. As the old saying goes 'Do what's good for your soul'. Don't worry about what others think. If it makes you happy to sit alone in a park and read your book, then do so. If it makes you happy to party until 4am, then do so. We all deserve to be happy, and if you're anything like me, you're probably way too hard on yourself. So, this is just a little reminder to do more of what makes you happy. Here's another quote for you - Time you enjoy wasting, is not time wasted. Here's a quick little list of how I love spending my spare time.

Reading books.
Reading magazines.
Scrapbooking.
Bargain hunting.
Shopping.
Watching trash tv.
Blogging.
The Sims 3.
Family/boyfriends/friends.

Now I want to know what makes you happy? x

  9. love this post - It's definitely healthy to do a bit of what you love. Thats what my blog is, of course it's sometimes more of a chore than others, but it's something I thoroughly enjoy whether it be the planning, the photography or the actual content. "Down time" often consists however of a nice long bath, comfy pjs, and a soppy film - cheers me up every time!

  10. This is a great idea for a post - we get so caught up in life sometimes it's good to remember the things that make us happy.

Reading is definitely a good thing, bit of escapism makes me forget about what's join and also I love spending time with my little Scottish Terrier, Mollie :o)
