Rimmel Brow This Way Review

Rimmel Brow This Way - £3.99
Ah, Rimmel. Such an affordable brand yet with such good quality - yay! It's funny how I never used to be interested in eyebrow products in the slightest, but now I am on more of a budget I was pretty pleased when I came across Rimmel's latest offering - Brow This Way. The name always reminds me of Lady Gaga! I had seen Brow This Way pop up over the blogosphere but hadn't actually read a review thoroughly, so I was looking forward to trying it out for myself after picking it up in Boots on an introductory offer of just £2.99. As I blab on about a lot, you probably already know I use a HD Brows kit which as you can guess, is a lot pricier than Rimmel's latest offering!

Brow This Way is an eyebrow styling gel which comes equipped with an eyebrow brush to sweep the gel lightly over your eyebrows. The gel comes in a total of four shades - Clear, blonde, mid brown and dark brown. As you can see I opted for the Dark Brown shade, however I bought this before lightening my hair so I could definitely do with a lighter shade now! The application is really easy and smooth, I had been concerned I would struggle with it as I hadn't used a brow gel before but I needn't have worried. It smoothes on the brows nicely and defines into whichever shape you wish. I will comment though that I find the brush a tad too big, my eyebrows are actually quite sparse so I do have to be quite careful when applying the gel as I don't want caterpillar brows! If you're more experienced with your brows then I don't think you'll have a problem at all. The gel lasts well, lasting me through my eight hour shift, gives a tint of colour without being too drastic and also feels lightweight - and doesn't leave that dreaded crispy feeling (yuck!)

If you're looking for an affordable eyebrow product, then Brow This Way is going to be your new best friend. If you don't fancy a tint of colour on your brows, maybe you could try the clear gel to see how you get on with that first. Brow This Way is an absolute bargain at just £3.99.

Have you tried Brow This Way? x

  1. I've not tried this but I like the Benefit Gimme Brow for more casual brow days, I'm sure they're pretty similar!

  5. This sounds fab,as I'm absolutely hooked on Benefit's 'gimme brow' gel, but obviously that sets you back a lot more than £3.99! I see what you mean about the size of the brush, especially in comparison to gimme brow, but as you say it's so affordable so I definitely think I'll give this a go!

    Fab post lovely, very informative!

  7. I've seen a few people commenting on how the brush is quite big, but to be honest for the price that it is I think you can't complain! I like that it comes in a clear too to keep those pesky brows in their place!

  8. I love the look of this and really want to try it, it's so affordable it would be rude not to really ;)
I've been using the Maybelline version but I find the brush so difficult to work with as it's round so I'm always getting it outside my eyebrow.
