A Cosy Night In Wishlist

A cosy night in is one of my all time favourite things to do. I'd choose a night in over a night out anyday, especially as the weather gets colder, windier and rainier too! I thought I would put together a little post explaining exactly how I would spend my cosy night in, what makes it so special and the perfect products that make a night in even better. I'd start by running myself a hot bubble bath, using my Lush Christmas Hedgehog, and relax in the bath whilst reading a good book. After my bath, I'd be straight into my pyjamas, slippers and dressing gown, ready to face my night of relaxing! When it comes to settling down and relaxing, my bedroom is my favourite place to go. I love switching on my fairy lights to make it look extra cosy too. I'd get myself comfy and pop on good old Frozen on the TV. There's nothing like watching a Disney movie in bed, so to make it even more fun I'd love some popcorn in this cool retro tin. After the film, I'll probably chill out with some new magazines, paint my nails, put a face mask on and relax. I'd also have this gorgeous Unicorn Hottie in my bed with me too and I'd pop the monkey eye mask on when it's time for bed! Ahh, bliss.

How would you spend a cosy night in? x

Christmas Beauty Baubles.

Oops, another Christmas post - I do apologise but there's just way too many cute things available at this time of year for me to ignore them! Now, no Christmas tree is complete without your traditional tinsels and baubles but what about when your baubles (ooh-er!) can contain a lovely beauty gift?! Even better than a plain old bauble or what?! I've had a good rummage around the internet (as always) and I've put together a quick guide to the Christmas beauty baubles and decorations that are on offer this year. They are perfect for treating yourself or buying as a present as you won't be breaking the bank. I'm also pleased to see that lots of high street brands such as No7, Topshop and Soap and Glory have jumped on the bandwagon so it's more affordable too.

Beauty & Skincare Dupes: How Much Can We Save?

Essie Muchi Muchi Swap For MUA Lush Lilac = Save £6.99

Nars Contour Kit Swap For ELF Contour Kit = Save £26.05

There's nothing I love more than a bargain, especially when it's beauty related! As an avid reader of blogs, I'm often reading about new releases whether it be from high end retailers or more budget friendly brands. I thought it would be a good idea for today's post to put together some classic 'dupes' which can save you a lot of money. Sometimes it can be easy to get sucked in by the glossy and sophisticated packaging of high end products, but for a lot less money you can get just as good a product - leaving you with more money to spend on other makeup - yay!

Lord & Berry Vogue Lipstick in 'Rebel' Review.

I've never been one to brave a bold lip. Give me a nude or a light pink any day and I'll be happy. However, for a night out recently I decided to go to the dark side for the first time. It was actually a little nerve racking at first (I know that sounds daft!) as I was worried In case I ended up resembling a clown. So, what's the product that twisted my arm into loving a dark lipstick? It's the Lord and Berry Vogue Lipstick in the shade 'Rebel'. As you can see, Rebel is a gorgeous vampy shade, perfect for a cold winters night. The application of this lipstick is spot on! It glides on the lips and feels so moisturising thanks to the built in moisturiser of signaline and waxes, giving a smooth feel yet gives a matte finish. As I wore this stunning shade on a night out, you could say it got put to a good test for it's lasting power! Of course I took I popped it in my clutch bag for touch ups and I think I only touched up twice. The lasting power is good but not quite amazing, but at the end of the day when you're sipping drinks, lipstick is bound to fade. If you're looking to venture into the darker side of lipsticks I can't recommend 'Rebel' enough, it's the perfect pop of colour and it will certainly jazz up your Christmas party look!

SKN Clinics Treatments

For today's post I'm going to be talking all about the skincare treatments that are available at SK:N Clinics. I have been lucky enough throughout my life to not suffer from many spots or bad skin, only the odd dull days and freckles (which I have now come to terms with anyway!). So I'm going to give a quick overview about one of SK:N Clinics treatments.

Acne/Scarring Treatment - As I mentioned above, I have been lucky enough to not suffer from too many spots or acne so I hope you don't find this patronising coming from myself. I can only imagine how hard it must be for your confidence if acne was affecting your life and making you feel down. SK:N clinics offer a range of treatments, including laser treatment, skin peels, derma roller and many more. You will receive an after care package to keep your skin in tip top condition. If you are interested in the specific treatment, SK:N clinics offer a free consultation with a member of their experienced and qualified staff. SK:N Clinics also have a wide range of skincare available to buy online or in store - I'm off to have a look! PS - SK:N Clinics are available in 35 locations in the UK.

Would you ever consider a skin treatment? x

Too Faced Christmas Gifts.

I need to buy this, I repeat I need to buy this. What beauty blogger wouldn't want a glittery pink makeup bag, complete with three luxury lipsticks?! The lipsticks are a shimmer version of Too Faced's colour drenched lip creams - they sound lovely and moisturising. The shades include 'Naked Dolly', 'Marshmallow Bunny' and 'Spice Spice Baby'. Complete with a gorgeous makeup bag.

A super glitzy and glam gift set perfect for any beauty lover - cough, me, cough - a palette of essentials. The palette includes a La Crème lip gloss in shade 'Naked Dolly', three eye shadows taken from the Chocolate Bar palette, 'Snow Bunny' powder and 'Chocolate Soliel' bronzer. It's another one with super glitzy packaging, yay!

Bronzer Wardrobe - £18.00.
The most affordable of the bunch and also one of my favourites is the bronzer wardrobe. In this handy five piece compact you will find four different bronzers including 'Endless Summer', 'Chocolate Soleil', 'Sun Bunny', 'Milk Chocolate Soleil' and to apply; a mini kabuki brush.

How cute is this festive black and gold box? Inside you'll find four different shades of Too Faced's melted liquefied lipsticks. From left to right the shades include 'Melted Nude', 'Melted Peony', 'Melted Fuschia' and 'Melted Berry'. These look full sized in the picture but they're not, but I think the four minis are still great value.

Now I certainly wouldn't mind unwrapping this on Christmas day, it's frickin' beautiful! Firstly there's the Everything Nice palette which is one heck of a whopper including 20 eye shadows, two bronzers of 'Chocolate Soliel' and 'Inner Light', two blushes of 'Papa Don't Peach' and 'Sweet Pink'. There's also three mini teddy bear makeup brushes included. Aside from the gorgeous palette, you'll also find this stunning glitzy pink zip bag, a step-to-step guide and even a mini Better Than Sex mascara. The outer packaging for all this is even more incredible, with glitzy diamantes and glitter. I've sold this to myself now - oops.

I think this has to be the most beautifully packaged of them all. I can just see myself buying it, placing it on my bedside table and never touching it again because it's too damn pretty. The carousel is made up of six section (such a fun idea!) and includes your Too Faced essentials including twelve eye shadows, mini Chocolate Soliel bronzer, mini Sun Bunny shimmer, mini Who's Your Poppy blush, mini Luminous Peach blush and last but not least the infamous Better Than Sex mascara.

Which one is your favourite? x

Wilko's Bargain Body Scrubs!

There's nothing I love more than a good old body scrub. When I was brunette, I used to use fake tan to give me a bit more colour to my skin but since going back to blonde I've found that I can now ditch the fake tan (yay!) and this has resulted in me using my favourite shower products again - a daily body scrub! As you may be aware, Wilko recently released a brand new health and beauty range, which quite frankly looks fabulous and everything is super cheap! I finally got round to treating myself to a few products from their new body and bath range and here's what I bought!

I have a tendency to buy way too many toiletries - shower gels, shampoos, conditioners - you name it and you'll find multiples in my bathroom cupboard somewhere! Each bath product costs just £1.50 each and there was also a great offer on to buy three products for just £3 (as if I needed persuading) so I picked up three body scrubs. The scrubs that I chose are Blueberry & Grape (reminds me of slush puppies - yum!), Orange & Pomelo and Coconut & Vanilla. Each bottle of body scrub has 250ml worth inside and three bottles is certainly going to last me a long time. I love using these as a quick 'wake me up' after using my latest favourite shower gel and each scrub has a gorgeous scent. The scrub itself is actually very light, if I wanted a deep exfoliation I would have to use a different scrub altogether but the beads are gentle enough to still give me that freshly scrubbed feeling. I also treated myself to a Blueberry & Grape bath foam as this scent is definitely my favourite - who doesn't love slush puppies?

Fairytale Storage Boxes

I think I have found the most beautiful storage boxes of all time. I follow a Disney account on Instagram, which basically posts all items Disney that are available in the UK (I might do a post on that account soon!) and the second that I saw these storage boxes, I purchased instantly. Oops! To be honest, I think the photos will do a lot of the talking for the fairy tale boxes as they are just so beautiful. Each storage box is shaped like a book and is wrapped with ribbons for an extra hint of glam. The three boxes fit into each other, making it easy to carry around with you if you're on the move, or as I personally like to use them - I stack them standing up, with the largest at the back for a beautiful home decoration. Each box has such intricate detail, with beautiful gold fonts and sweet illustrations. Stacking the boxes sitting down, you'll see that each box has a different name for their story. There's 'Once Upon A Time', 'Magic Fairytale' and 'Under The Stars'. I think that if you're a Disney fan, or a lover of fairy tales and daydreams - then you need these storage boxes in your life. In all honesty, I don't even think I'm going to store anything in them, I just want them to look stunning in my bedroom! The three storage boxes are available as a set of three and cost just £14.99 from H&M.

What do you think of my new fairy tale storage boxes?!

Christmas Gift Guide: For The Grown Up Disney Lover.

Canvas // Frozen Bangle // Makeup Bag // Diary // Elsa Figurine // Salt & Pepper Shakers // Knickers // Pyjama Top // Charm Necklace // Pyjamas //

I'm back with another Christmas gift guide (no, it's never too early!) and I thought it would be a good idea to make it one of my favourite themes - Disney! On my recent Disney at BHS post, a few lovely bloggers commented that they loved the range as it wasn't too childish - so I tried to make this Disney post as sophisticated as possible! My favourite item of the gift guide is the Ariel canvas in the top left corner. These are part of the Disneyland Paris collection and there are lots of other Disney icons available. I can just picture these lined up above my bed with fairy lights - perfect! If you have a Disney lover in your family or friendship group (or it may be you!) then I hope this guide gives you a little help for their Christmas gift!

What Defines Success?

Something has been on my mind recently and I thought maybe it would be a good idea to get it off my chest. What defines success? I don't like the fact that sometimes you can be told you HAVE to do something, you HAVE to be this ambitious career person, you HAVE to be a super mum, you HAVE to dress smart and you must aim to be successful. I'm not saying that everybody thinks like that, because I think the exact opposite. I was talking to my dad the other day, who I don't see that often and he told me he was so proud of my sister and I and anything we chose to do in life he would support. I know my mum and stepfather feels the same way so I'm very lucky to have them.

School/University.
Happiness to me is the most important thing in life. It doesn't matter to me what you do in life as long as you don't hurt anybody, you're safe and you're happy. We only get to live this life just once and you should never do something because you think that's what others want you to. Say for example, you go through school listening about how you must pass your GCSE's (agreed) and then it's advised you get your A levels, go to university and you will be successful. But what about those who don't like to study - like me?! Please, please don't take this the wrong way if you wanted to get your A levels and then study at university, that's more than OK and I don't mean to bash that at all. At 16, I left school with no idea where to go, what I wanted to be in life and guess what - I still don't know where I'm going, but that doesn't mean I'm not successful. I've held down a full time job and I pay my way in life. I think what I am trying to say is that it doesn't matter what your aim in life is, as long as you're doing something and you're smiling - you're successful.

Career.
Some people think you're only successful at a career if you're a high flying business woman earning over 50k a year and you've spent ten years studying in your bedroom. I, however, define ANY career as a successful one. If you can turn up to work on time, roll out of bed on a cold dark morning, greet customers with a smile when your mind is whispering profanities about them and you still smile. What I'm trying to say and I have no idea whether I'm making any sense or not - is that it doesn't matter if you don't earn as much as the women you read about in magazines, or whether you earn more - whatever job you choose to do, it means you're successful. Never feel like you have to become someone you don't want to be just because your Granddad wants you to be a doctor or your mum's next door neighbour thinks you should have studied harder.

Blogging.
I actually had an idea of defining success as a blogger for a post recently but I gathered it would fit in well here. The blogging world is frickin' massive and we can sometimes feel we're swimming around like tiny goldfish in the ocean whilst the Rainbow Fish (remember that book?!) are at the top of the ocean, swimming in their success. It's easy to feel envious of them and wish that you were at that level, but don't forget we all started at different times. If you plucked up the courage to start a blog, you update it and you enjoy it - you're a successful blogger. It doesn't matter if you've got under 50 followers or over 5000, as long as blogging makes you happy - you're a successful blogger.

I hope I've managed to make some sort of sense to you in this post! I didn't really know where I was going with it, but I'll be interested in hearing what you think and what you think about what makes YOU successful? Do you ever wonder that you should have done things differently to impress others or make others happy?

The Body Shop Christmas Wishes Range

I've always loved The Body Shop. There's so many different products from body scrubs to skincare as well as being cruelty free and affordable. There's been many a time where I wander around a Body Shop store, gazing in awe at all the pretty products. So, it won't have slipped past you that Christmas is coming up any time soon, so The Body shop have launched their new range of festive products and they're all part of their Christmas Wishes. I was lucky enough to receive a few select products from the new range to review on my blog, so here are my thoughts!

For the Christmas season, The Body Shop have released three new ranges of Glazed Apple, Vanilla Brulee and Frosted Cranberry. The Glazed apple scent is just divine. I wondered at first whether it would be a rather peculiar scent, one that you had to get 'used' to but the first time I used the body butter, I knew it was a scent for me. As you can guess from the name, it's a fruity apple scent which lingers on the body long after application. As with all body butters from The Body Shop, it's a thick, creamy formula which dries almost instantly, leaving me without that horrible few minutes of feeling greasy. It's a buttery texture and helps to smooth my skin and leaves me smelling gorgeous. As for the Glazed Apple hand cream, well he's not so bad either! With the same beautiful scent, I am able to carry this little tube around in my handbag, meaning I can get my glazed apple fix on the go as well as keeping my hands soft in the colder months. Just like the body butter, it's really fast at absorbing and moisturises really well.

This cute little dinky product is a new in item called the 'Lip and Cheek Doll' which is a special edition. It has quirky packaging with it's doll packaging similar to Japanese culture - at first I thought it was a little perfume! Open up the lid however and you'll find an applicator brush with a red liquid stain for a hint of colour to add to your lips, cheeks or both. I especially liked using the tint for my lips as it gives a subtle rosy shade perfect for everyday wear. It needs topping up after a few hours as it does begin to fade, but as it's so dinky, it's perfect to carry around with you.

Just like the Glazed Apple range, Frosted Cranberry has also impressed me! Again, the title does the talking for me but it's a sweet and seasonal frosted cranberry scent. In my house, we tend to stick to using liquid hand washes so it was a good chance to try something different for a change with the Frosted Cranberry Soap. There's not an awful lot of things to say about a soap but all you need to know is it smells sweet and lathers up well, doing the job perfectly.

I've spotted The Body Shop's new range of nail polishes recently - Colour Crush - and I've been impressed by the look of the sleek packaging, the cruelty free ingredients and a whopping 26 shades to choose from! The shade I have above is the perfect red for the festive season; 'Relish The Moment'. It's the perfect glossy red shade and what I loved about using the Colour Crush polish was how easy it was to apply. It's so easy for me to make a mess when painting my nails but the brush is super easy to use and I was really impressed with the drying time of the polishes too.

What do you think of my picks? Is there anything you fancy? x

Disney at BHS

I couldn't help but let out a little squeal of excitement when I came across the brand new Disney range at BHS. As you may or may not be aware, there's not much I love more than Disney, so when I browsing BHS to look at their Christmas gifts, I was thrilled to see that they had incorporated Disney into their collection! There's such a wide range of different Mickey and Minnie products to choose from such as home ware, Christmas gifts, pyjamas and much more. I managed to whittle my favourites down to just five to show you my favourite picks!

First up I love this Mickey and Minnie lap tray. I've fallen into the trap again of making my future home wishlist and this would be just perfect for my kitchen! You can't beat a takeaway in front of the tv on a cosy winters night and this gorgeous lap tray will make it even better! I also love the 'Kiss The Cook' sign - not that I'm much of a cook, far from it really but it's just too cute. I also love the Minnie Mouse breakfast set, it's so simple but with a touch of Disney, you cant go wrong can you?! As for the Christmas gifts, there are a set of Mickey and Minnie notebooks which are great - as if I need a new excuse to buy some stationery! Lastly, what more could I want to wrap all the gorgeous gifts in? Well, Micky and Minnie wrapping paper of course!

Pastel Hair Inspiration

I thought I'd do a little bit of a different kind of post today and show you some Pinterest images and styles I've been lusting after lately. There's something about pastel hair I just find so mesmerising. Not only does it look stunning but I think it really represents confidence of being able to pull off any hair colour you wish, not caring about breaking society's rules and just generally doing something different. I love a good browse through Pinterest and can't help but enjoy looking at the hairstyles I know I'd never be able to pull off! I absolutely love these pastel shades as they're so unique, edgy and quite frankly, beautiful. I think I should add pastel hair to my list of things to do before I die (rather morbid), even if it's just a pastel pink dip dye!

Kellogg's Does Beauty (And it looks good!)

Frosties Lip Balm // Coco Pops Lip Balm // Frosties Makeup Bag // Lip Balm // Bath Milk // Hand Cream // Pocket Mirror //

Allow me to introduce you to what I think is my favourite beauty release of all time. It's just so beautiful! Having grown up eating Kellogg's cereal most mornings before school, I'm happy to see they are back with one of my favourite ranges - a beauty range! I absolutely love the retro vintage designs, I want to decorate my bathroom with everything. As you can see, the range is pretty varied from lip balms to bath milks, from hand creams to pocket mirrors - there's something for everyone. Kellogg's vintage range is currently available to buy over at Truffle Shuffle and it's super affordable too.  I think my first buy is going to be a Frosties Lip Balm, who can say no to Tony the Tiger?!

New Look Khaki Knitted Blanket Wrap

Allow me to introduce you to what I can only describe as the cosiest yet stylish autumn and winter wear that I've ever come across! When I was lucky enough to be in contact with the lovely Tasha from New Look's PR team, Tasha offered me the chance to review a blanket wrap from New Look. My first impression of that was why have New Look started selling bedding and how random it was! Until I realised that it was me who was out of the know and that blanket wraps are actually a cardigan perfect for the upcoming winter months!

I decided to choose the Khaki Knitted Blanket Wrap as I love the khaki trend and I thought this would look great styled with some chunky black ankle boots and leggings. When I received the blanket wrap, I was really pleased with it and it is definitely something that I would have bought myself - in fact I wouldn't mind stocking up on some other shades! Being a blanket wrap, the cardigan has no sleeves for your arms (which baffled me for around 20 seconds), so it's super easy to just throw on top of your outfit, wrap yourself up warm and cosy and you're good to go! As it's also knitted, it's so comfy and soft and I absolutely love my new blanket wrap! They look so stylish without having to make much of an effort and I'm a big fan of anything that keeps me warm! New Look have lots of different designs to choose from and prices start from £17.99. I can see blanket wraps being a big deal this A/W!

A Mini Christmas At Lush Haul

I may be pushing it slightly to call this a haul, but never mind! In all honesty, I've never been a mad Lush fun. I just didn't used to see the attraction as much as everybody else did. That was until I discovered Snow Fairy this time last year and that's where my love for Lush began. Fast forward a year and I decided to treat myself to a few goodies. Being a Snow Fairy fan, I was so tempted to buy the Snow Fairy Gift set for myself (oops) but a fellow blogger on Twitter told me it would be cheaper for me to just buy the items separately, so that's what I did!

Before I start rambling on about Snow Fairy, I need to introduce to the cutest little hedgehog of all time - The Christmas Hedgehog - just look at him with all his glitter and dinky little blue nose, I could eat him all up! This is actually a bubble bar, which means poor little hedgehog is going to get crumbled up into the bath for its new owner to have a lovely relaxing bath - sorry! Moving onto Snow Fairy, I treated myself to a small bottle of the shower gel in the 100g size as I was trying not to go too overboard with my shopping basket! I'm so excited to be using this in the shower again, it even makes the whole bathroom smell fantastic. After that, I've got two products which I've never used for and I'm so excited to do so! Firstly, it's the Snow Fairy Sparkle Shimmer Bar which can be applied all over the skin and gives you gorgeously shimmering skin with an added bonus of the Snow Fairy scent! Lastly, I bought the Magic Wand Bubble Bar. Words can't describe how excited I am to use this! This is a reusable bubble bar to swish around the bath to create snow fairy scented bubbles - eek! I will be writing full reviews of each product, so keep an eye out!

New Beauty Releases

Eek, a post about new beauty releases! Just my favourite thing to read and write. I can't help but get a little excited when I see new beauty products that have been released, so I thought I would share them with you in case there's anything you haven't spotted yet. I won't go through each item individually as I don't want to bore you for too long! I think that the product that stood out for me the most is a new illuminated highlighter 'Aura' from Urban Decay. I'm loving the glitzy packaging and really want to try the highlighter for myself as I've really got into using highlighters recently. Talking of highlighters, Sleek have recently released their 'Precious Metals' collection which is a compact kit of three velvet creams and one powder.

Essie are back with a new fall collection and I really like the shades. The Body Shop have recently released a few new ranges including Glazed Apple, Vanilla Brulee and Frosted Cranberry. W7 have got a new mascara called Absolute Lashes, which is cheap and cheerful with a sleek design - it reminds me of Benefit's They're Real, so it will be good to see if it can rival it

Do you spot anything you fancy? x

A Disney Halloween Night In

Happy Halloween - a day late! I hope you liked my Disney themed post yesterday - any excuse eh?! I was lucky enough this week to receive a Disney Night In kit for the perfect Halloween night thanks to Florida 4 Less. I had to have the perfect afternoon instead. Last night I was actually in work so I didn't have a Halloween night, instead I had a Halloween afternoon on Thursday instead. I was lucky enough to receive two DVDs - Frankenweenie and Hocus Pocus. Hocus Pocus was one of my favourite films as a child so I did a little squeal of excitement when I found this in my box of goodies! There was also décor available from Sainsburys - a spider webbed tablecloth, bunting and even plastic spiders. I did a squeal of horror when I found the plastic spiders!

I hung the bunting up across my stairs/banister, popped Hocus Pocus on the TV and it was time to indulge in the treats. I had microwable popcorn, both sweet and salted - mix together in a bowl and ta-da! I had lots of other goodies to share too such as Crème Eggs, Crunchy Spiders, Pumpkin Smarties, Milkybar Ghosts and Sour and jelly spooky treats. Eek! I even had some Halloween themed plastic cups to share around the drinks. PS - sorry for the random photo of the fire, my mum's just treated herself to a new fire and I thought it looked so cosy I had to include it. Excuse the old fire behind it!!

How did you spend Halloween? x
