How To: Stress Free Christmas Shopping.

Ahh, Christmas. That wonderful, festive time of year which can also result in a mad dash around the shops, panicking about what presents to get! It certainly doesn't help if you're mega busy with work/uni/college in the run up to Christmas - when do you even get time to relax let alone get Christmas shopping done?! I thought I may as well throw my Christmas tree in here too!

Avoid Peak Times.
If you work outside of the usual 9-5 office hours, I'd use this to your advantage. If you tend to work shifts or finish early/start late then go the shops at the least popular times. Of course, it still might be busy but shopping on a Tuesday morning compared to a Saturday afternoon may save you a lot of time queuing and less stress too!

Online Shopping.
If you're unable to visit the shops at a quieter time, why not do all your Christmas shopping online?! I've done pretty much all of mine online this year, it's just ridiculously easy to browse, no queues and then it's in your hands just a few days later.

Voucher Codes.
If you're shopping online for your Christmas presents, then this is the perfect opportunity to save some money. Of course you may find reduced items in store, but I find it much easier to browse voucher code websites such as VoucherBin to get discounts and offers. I can't help but feel victorious when I save 10% or more on products! For example, there's nothing I love more than a new nail polish which can also make great Secret Santa gifts, so I can save money thanks to SemiChem offering 50% off Barry M products - yay!

Start Early.
We're getting closer and closer to the big day! If you're keen on being organised and getting all the presents wrapped up and safely under the tree - then it's best to get your shopping started early. Of course this isn't always ideal when there's lots of things going on in your life, but if you get any spare time soon, get your shopping done out of the way to avoid the mad Christmas Eve rush!

Enter Competitions.
Now, this may seem like a strange one! Even though I've got my presents sorted, if I get some spare time then I'll enter a few competitions as they can make perfect extra Christmas presents. This week I've won an OPI nail polish set and a Maybelline mascara - perfect stocking fillers that didn't cost a penny!

  1. Love this post, to avoid the stress I started early in fact by the end of October I was pretty much finished so I avoided all the Christmas panic. Items I hadn't got by then I just did online shopping.

  2. Great post, it's so easy to get caught up in the stress of Christmas shopping and forget it's a time to be relaxed and spend time with the family! You've got some great points which would definitely combat that stress.

  4. Fab post and great advice! I'm so glad I started my Christmas shopping earlier to avoid the mad rush. I don't think I ever buy something online without searching for a discount code first haha. It's now become a habit!

  5. These tips are fab. I started mine early this year and I'm almost done. Nothing stresses me out more than big crowds! Going shopping later on is good too as the shops get quieter.
