My Favourite Disney Instagram Accounts.

I think Disneyfind has to be my all time favourite Instagram account. Every time there's a new Disney product released, whether it's a top in Primark, to stationery to pyjamas - anything Disney related will always be right here. Some Disney items can be very popular and sell out pretty quickly, so I love finding out about the new releases. If I bought everything, I'd have no pennies to my name but it doesn't mean I can't dream!

'Disneyproductsuk' is pretty much very similar to Disneyfind. I find that it's always good to follow more than one account as sometimes we can miss out on things that other people find, so this way there's no way of missing out on all the perfect new releases.

'Inkeddisney' is such a fabulous account. I have no tattoos and I don't plan on having any as  I change my mind way too often! I could guarantee that in three months after a tattoo, I'd be wishing I had chosen a different design! As I'm sure you can guess, this account has loads of pictures of peoples tattoos based on Disney. I love seeing how creative people can be and seeing the Disney magic live on.

Scrolling through Instagram can give me many different images, so I love to make sure I've got my fix of Disney in there somewhere. 'thedisneysclub'. The account doesn't focus on specific things such as products or tattoos, instead focuses on all things Disney. You can find quotes, cupcakes, illustration, characters, rollercoasters and lots more. It's perfect for brightening up your feed.

If there's one thing that's my lifelong dream then it's to get married in Disney. It's ridiculously expensive so unless I win the lottery, I can't see it happening any time soon! So, I can dream about my happily ever after instead with the 'disneyweddings' account. It's pretty much self explanatory, but there's such cute pictures of dresses, cakes and ceremonies it's too good to miss.

Do you have any favourite Instagram accounts? x

My Favourite Beauty Reads.

Since deciding that I'd love to have a career in the beauty and retail sector, I've been brushing up my skills on all things beauty wise. For years now whenever I have a new magazine, I go straight to the beauty pages to see any new releases and what's hot. I'm working as a temporary fragrance consultant this week so I've been learning all about the high notes of perfumes etc and it's the only type of revising I've ever enjoyed! I thought I'd put together a post of where I love to keep up to date with all the beauty news and what I enjoy reading.
Beauty Books.
I've found a brand new love for learning about skincare, fragrances and generally all things beauty related recently so my knowledge is just building up - well I am attempting it anyway! As I mentioned in a recent post, I've found Sali Hughes' Pretty Honest so helpful and I've picked up lots of tips so I definitely recommend that. I'm also fancying lots of other beauty books including Bobbi Brown's Make Up Manual - are there any books you'd recommend?
Magazines.
I get overly excited about the beauty sections of magazines and newspapers. It doesn't matter what I'm reading, I skim straight through to find any mentions of new releases, reviews and any snippets. I've recently started buying Allure since spotting it in my local WHSmith shop - it's pretty pricey at £4.80 but I love getting all the beauty news. What I love most about it is that seeing as it is shipped from the USA, I get to see all then new products that are going to be coming our way sometime soon. There's also good quality articles in there, with plenty to read - so you're not just paying money for pages and pages of adverts. Please can the UK create our own beauty magazine?!
Blogs.
My main love of makeup and beauty spiralled since I started reading other blogs and writing my own. I've learnt so much from others, found products I didn't know existed and love sharing anything I find on my own blog too. Just how can there be so many pretty products for us to lust after?! I also find that blogs are so much more honest than magazines and the products get reviewed in much more depth - so I do tend to choose a bloggers review over a magazine.
Pinterest.
I guess this is a pretty strange one and maybe it doesn't quite class as a read as such but I love seeing other beauty tips and tricks on Pinterest. It's so easy to see a quick tutorial in an image, with step by step instructions along as things such as homemade DIY face masks, contouring and highlighting tips, makeup dupes and loads of other things.

What are your favourite beauty reads? Can you recommend me anything? x

Aussie 'Fresh Mate' Body Wash Review.

Did I need another shower gel? Of course not. Did I buy it anyway? Of course I did! You may know Aussie from the fabulous hair care range and they've now branched out into the body care sector, releasing a total of four different body washes. The four to choose from are 'Shower Smoothie', 'Fresh Mate', 'Mega Watt' and 'No Rush'. Each shower gel comes in either a 250ml or 400ml bottle and after dithering at the stand for a while I decided to choose 'Fresh Mate' in a 400ml bottle as it was only 50p extra for the larger bottle. Of course I could have happily bought all four, but I managed to restrain myself.

I put this to the test last night as I was in the middle of washing my hair in the shower. Realising I'd left this in my handbag, I made a mad dash to grab my shower gel so I could put it to good use - I promise I had my towel on! So, onto the shower gel itself. 'Fresh Mate' is an everyday body wash, with eucalyptus extracts giving it a fresh scent. The scent itself smells similar to that gorgeous typical 'Aussie smell' and as you can see the packaging is very similar - so don't go getting your products mixed up! After a busy day, this is the perfect shower gel to make me feel squeaky clean without an empowering scent and leaves me smelling lovely. The formula of the shower gel itself is thicker than I expected and doesn't slip out of my hands the second I get some ready to apply. If you're looking to treat yourself I can definitely recommend Aussie for their 'Fresh Mate' body wash. Next step - trying the next three!

Would you try an Aussie body wash? x

Cinderella Merchandise Wishlist.

Okay, so can I just have everything on this list please?! As you may or may not know last year we were spoilt with Maleficent, Beauty & The Beast has just been announced and in March Cinderella will be hitting the big screens - as well as a two minute follow up from Frozen - how exciting! So, as with all big films there's bound to be some gorgeous merchandise to treat ourselves to. I'm sure that the MAC Cinderella collection has already grabbed your attention, with lots of stunning makeup to choose from but I had to include it too! All the other merchandise is from one of my favourite stores - the Disney Store. There's a beautiful tea set which is priced at an eye watering £150.00 but it has such intricate detail, it would be a dream come true to have this set out on a dining table with a gorgeous cloth underneath! There's also a beautiful gold artwork phone case with a 3D jewelled butterfly - but I'm so gutted this is only available for iPhone 5 - what about the rest of us?! Even the outer packing of the phone case is so pretty, I'd buy it just for that! As well as mugs, shoppers, ornaments and lots more to choose from I really love the deluxe A5 journal. It would be the perfect book to write down some blog ideas - although it may just be perfect for show too, I wouldn't want to be making any mistakes now would I?!

Are you looking forward to seeing Cinderella? x

Recently I as lucky enough to have the opportunity to work together with Yves Rocher. Before I tell you a little bit about the fragrance and how you can try it for yourself completely free, I'll introduce you to Yves Rocher. Yves Rocher is a French beauty and skincare brand set up by Yves Rocher himself. The company even has its own botanical garden in La Gacilly and are really passionate about the idea of botanical beauty. So, let's get onto the fragrance itself. As with most fragrances, the most important point is the scent but to me it's also important to have gorgeous packaging too. Yves Rocher are on point here with it's unique pear spray glass bottle. 'Comme Une Evidence' is a floral fragrance for women and has top notes of amber, violet leaf and nutmeg with woody bottom notes. I personally wouldn't describe this a light fragrance despite it being floral it's a pretty strong scent. It's long lasting on the skin and is perfect for anyone looking to try a new fragrance. A 30ml bottle retails at £25.50.

To win your own 30ml bottle completely free, all you need to do is enter your details via the rafflecopter below. Please note that the giveaway is UK only and by entering your email address, the winner's email address will be signed up to Yves Rocher newsletters.

Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation Review.

It's not often that I buy a foundation on a whim - I'll usually research into it and read lots of reviews, especially when it's at an expensive price. After seeing a few adverts for Maybelline's latest foundation, I decided to give it a try as I had some Boots points to try out anyway. The liquid foundation is called 'Dream Flawless Nude' and aims to give flawless coverage with a very thin texture. When I'm using a foundation, the most important thing is of course the shade matching well to my skin and full coverage too. The foundation is available in seven different shades and I chose the palest.

Claims aside, what's the foundation actually like? As you can see it's packaged in a cute dinky glass bottle and comes with a tear drop applicator. I love the tear drop applicator as it gives it that extra edge over a pump but I do find that pump is easier to use. The foundation is lightweight and has concentrated pigments. I've used this term before, but quite frankly it does apply like a dream. The formula is so silky it's like moisturising your skin as you apply your foundation - it feels really refreshing compared to thicker formulas.

As for how the foundation looks, it doesn't quite meet my full coverage standards (and they are pretty high to be fair!). As I mentioned it's a lightweight formula but instantly makes a positive difference to my skin without a cakey appearance and can be built up but I couldn't quite build it up enough personally. I would say it's definitely a medium coverage, but if you like everything covered up it may be more of a natural look than you're looking for. The foundation retails at £8.99.

Nailberry '50 Shades' Review.

If you've never heard of 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' then I'd give you my life savings as it's been pretty impossible to escape lately! Just in case you haven't heard of Nailberry, they are a high end brand sold exclusively online or Nailberry salons in London or Chelsea. All of Nailberry polishes retail at £13.50 each in simple yet sophisticated packaging boasting to be free from four pesky chemicals. So, what with all the Fifty Shades madness, Nailberry have released their very own addition to the hype that comes with the franchise.

Simply titled '50 Shades', the polish is a stunning satin deep black shade with subtle hints of grey - to be expected of course! It's such a sophisticated shade to wear on my nails, it looks super glam without being too 'dark'. When applying the polish I was actually surprised to see how long the applicator was -  that may sound a little strange but compared to smaller bottles and applicators, I found Nailberry a lot easier to apply. I'm also one of those people that tend to make a slight mess when painting my nails and get it all round my cuticles but luckily I had no problems with this at all - so extra bonus points from me. In all honesty I do have one snag about the polish - the lasting power. After just twenty four hours I did have a few chips here and there, nothing to worry about but I was hoping it would have lasted a little longer before showing any chips seeing as it is a pricey polish. Despite this, I have been impressed by the 50 Shades polish and I would definitely be willing to try out other shades of the polishes as there are some stunning shades to choose from.

Have you heard of Nailberry polishes before? x

The Sims Memories.

So, for today's post I thought I would do something a little different. As I'm sure you're aware The Sims has come a long way since its original days and is now on its fourth edition having recently celebrated 14 years of The Sims. I'm aware that if you've never had an interest in computer games, then this post won't interest you but I'm hoping that just like me and my sister you were addicted to 'The Sims' since Bella and Mortimer first appeared on our screens. Despite the newest additions, I think my all time favourite series has to be The Sims 2. Also, please note these images are not my own. So, without further ado, here are my favourite memories from the first ever Sims.

The Original Families.
As I still play The Sims 4, I know that the original families from years ago still appear and are available to play - but in my eyes you can't beat the Goth family from back in the day. They're still around to this day but you can't beat the good old days!

The Village.
I used to love how there was just one simple village to choose from, with lots of cute little houses and the massive mansion in the corner. All you needed to do was to pop over to your neighbours for a chat, none of this changing worlds business!

Get Sims to Marry Step 13.jpg

Getting Married.
Do you remember how hard it was to get married back in the days?! You had to make sure that the other sim was well fed, wide awake and in a good mood. Even then, they'd come up with these terrible excuses, meaning you'd have to try over and over until they were finally in a good mood!

Creating A Sim.
These days we can even change the shape of a sims nose, mouth and ears as well as giving them pink highlights in their hair and adjusting the size of their muscles - but it wasn't always so creative! Remember when you could only choose from a simple head or an outfit?! How could I forget the mini bio we could make of each sim? I've always loved to write so plenty of tales were made up about each Sim.

Expansion Packs.
Quite possible the best games of all times. 1) Hot Date - making restaurants, dressing up, romantic meals and improving relationships. 2) Unleashed - Pets! The first ever pets to hit the sims. 3) Makin' Magic - This was my favourite game EVER. Making spells, going to carnivals, dualling with other sims: ridiculous amounts of fun. 4) On Holiday - skiing holidays, building snowmen, beach holidays, building hotels - the possibilities were endless. 5) Superstar - The chance to be a celebrity, we could even be Christina Aguilera! Remember the crazy obsessed fan who would follow you everywhere if you finally made it as a superstar?

Did you used to play The Sims? Are you still a Sims fan? x

Disney Stationery Wishlist.

If there's anything I love more than stationary, it's Disney themed stationery! I can't even explain what it is but buying a new notebook, set of pens and a diary can leave me feeling inspired and ready to write - the perfect excuse to buy cute stationery! I've put together yet another wishlist - I know, I know but I just can't help myself! Here you'll find all things Disney related, perfect for your desk or for carrying on the go to your classes etc - I guess it would make studying that little bit easier?! I also want to apologise that things have been a little quiet on my blog this week - I've been working flat out selling perfumes all week and I can't wait to tell you all about it. I also really want to get some beauty reviews back up and running, so keep your eyes peeled!

A Homeware Wish List

I absolutely love looking for new home ware products. There's constantly new additions being added all around the shops what with new trends and new seasons coming in. I'm quite a way off moving out just yet and my bedroom is currently full to the brim with décor so I have to resist buying anything right now but that doesn't mean I can't dream does it?! I'm not sure I can pick a favourite out of my picks but I really love the alphabet cushions - I made A & P for mine and my boyfriend's initials and I just think it would be a cute addition to the bedroom. Tesco have also got some pretty new things in including the Disney Princess mixing bowl (it doesn't matter that I barely bake does it?), a Minnie Mouse art print and a stunning cream cushion - you can never have too many cushions can you?!

What's on your homeware wish list? x

Sali Hughes 'Pretty Honest' Review.

Welcome to what I like to call my new beauty bible. I've never actually been that interested in reading beauty books, but now that I tend to read more blogs and the beauty pages of magazines, I thought I would give 'Pretty Honest' a go after seeing it recommended by lots of beauty bloggers. Sali Hughes is a welsh (woop!) journalist who has written for brilliant magazines and is currently the beauty editor of The Guardian. With plenty of beauty experience under her belt, Pretty Honest shares Sali's love and knowledge of all things beauty - think of it as your new best friend.

When the book arrived I was actually surprised at how hefty it was! I had only been expecting a small book but Pretty Honest comes in a good old fashioned hardcover with its pretty pink design containing over 300 pages of beauty. Lately with books I have been finding it a little hard to concentrate but I knew after just a few pages that I would certainly be making my way through this book just fine. The book is set into lots of different chapters ranging from how to find out your skin type to fragrances, buying makeup gifts and where to get the best beauty advice. Trust me, this won't let you down. I've picked up lots of new information along the way and really would recommend it for a light hearted beauty read. I was also surprised to learn that using a toner isn't actually a must have on your skincare regime. It reminded me of just how much fun makeup is and I promise that when you're reading you'll be itching to be putting your makeup on or to give your skin a deep cleanse!

Where To Find Inspiration.

Sometimes when it comes to blogging, I can hit a plateau. Just like many other bloggers there comes a time when we're sat scratching our heads wondering what on earth we can write about now. So, I thought it would be a good idea to put together some ideas of how to get inspiration. It may not be for your blog or writing, it may just be that you want to be inspired for other aspects of your life such as  your career or travelling - there's so much to see and do in this world that there is inspiration all around us.

Get Crafty.
I find that working on my scrapbook, looking through my photo albums or thinking of fancy DIY ideas that I'd never be able to do alone - I find myself feeling inspired. It allows me to be free with my ideas and think of new things whilst surrounding myself in my projects.

Pinterest.
I'm sure you're more than aware of Pinterest but I had to get this in somewhere. It's pretty much inspiration central. It doesn't matter what you're looking for but I love to look through home images, scrapbook ideas, makeup looks, hair styles and lots more - it gives me ideas of what I could write about on my blog or any new looks that I could try myself. Give yourself time to make some pin boards and find anything that inspires you.

Travel.
Even if you can't afford to travel right now, you can still dream about it. Look on the internet or through brochures and make a list of all the places you'd love to visit one day. Write about specific landmarks you'd love to see, food you'd love to eat and who you'd want to travel with. If you can afford to travel right now then the world is your oyster! Choose where you fancy and see how others live their lives.

Read.
I love reading and I always have. Flicking through magazines, re-reading old books or learning about new things can inspire me. You don't always have to spend money on getting new books, you can visit the library. Pass magazines and books around with your friends to try new reads you wouldn't pick out yourself.

Find somewhere cosy.
Sometimes it's good to escape and just forget about everything. Find a cosy café, or coffee shop where you feel safe and comfortable, set yourself up in a comfy chair with a new magazine, a cake and a drink and just let yourself relax. It can be interesting to people watch and just let the time go by.

How do you get inspired? x

New Beauty Releases

Barry M Speedy Quick Nail Dry.
Eek, new nail polishes that dry quickly and have a gorgeous shade of pastels? Yes please! Just yesterday I was struggling with that annoying moment when your nails aren't quite dry but you need to get moving, so I'd love to put these to the test to see if they are speedy. What caught my eye most about these polishes were the pastel shades and cute chequered lid. Each polish will cost £3.99 and can be bought from the 11th Feb.

Ten gorgeous eye shadows including nudes of beiges and brown. The palette is inspired by YSL's creative studio fabric swatches. It's a pretty price buy at £49.00 but I guess you're also paying for the luxurious packaging.

Just look at the sparkly pink box. That alone makes me want to buy it! Jimmy Choo have released a brand new perfume called Blossom. Blossom is described as being the perfect bold fragrance for young party girls. Think cocktails, nights out and your essential floral fragrance. A 40ml bottle retails for £36.00 and is out now.

I am so excited to try this foundation! It's a two in one full coverage foundation and concealer which gives a natural matte finish (basically exactly what I look for in a foundation!). It comes with a unique magic wand applicator, allowing you to build up the foundation. The foundation is released on the 6th February.

Love, Tanya Review.

You could say I've been pretty quick with this review, but I picked up Love, Tanya on a whim when I was browsing the books in Tesco. In all honesty, I don't actually tend to watch You Tube videos that much unless I'm looking for a specific tutorial but I have watched Tanya Burr before and enjoyed her makeup videos so I thought it would be worth a try. The design of the book really caught my eye on the shelves, it stood out from the more dark and plainer books - I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but I cant help it sometimes! As you can see the book has a crisp white design with a collage of Instagram style images.

I'd also like to point out that at 22, I am not sure I'm the target audience for the book as I think it may be geared towards the slightly younger ages but I did really enjoy the book and I was pleased to find myself feeling inspired. The book is split up into twelve different chapters. Each chapter has a different topic and I also liked that Tanya included scrapbook style pages to make notes - I liked that you get could creative whilst reading. I particularly enjoyed learning about Tanya's childhood, her and Jim's relationship and her work as a makeup artist. I also found it interesting reading how fast her You Tube channel grew and I do believe it's amazing that she gets to do something she loves everyday and be able to call it her career - good on her! There were some parts of the book that I did skim through such as the 'Fashion' chapter as I don't tend to enjoy reading about clothes and accessories I prefer to just buy them in the sale instead! There were also tips for first dates which I think was aimed towards younger readers. The book itself is not all text, there's a lot of model shoots of Tanya, quite a lot of lists and general pictures - which is good if you're not a big reader but I found that the book didn't take me long to work my way through due to this. I would have liked to read more about her makeup and you tube career in more depth. I was happy to see quite a few recipes towards the end of the book as I hadn't been expecting that. They all looked easy enough to make from yummy desserts to warming soup - I definitely want to try a few out for myself.

Overall, I really did enjoy the book and I am glad that I bought it. As I said, I did skim through some pages as they weren't for me but I did finish the book feeling inspired. I liked the layout and the design of the book and if you're a Tanya fan I really would recommend you pick it up!
