When it comes to your makeup, if you prefer to keep your foundation light and barely there, then I don't think today's post is going to be for you! I'm writing this post as if I could rewind time and read it when I was on the hunt for my perfect foundation. I pretty much keep my makeup simple but it's important for my confidence that my foundation is right as I have a lot of freckles and my skin can get dull sometimes. I've decided to round together four different foundations that are completely full coverage to see if you can find one which is perfect for you too. With all the foundations, I use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
This foundation is full coverage heaven. This is what I currently use everyday, mixed with 17 which I'll talk about below. Beautifully Matte pretty much describes itself - it gives a shine free, matte and full coverage flawless look. It blends pretty easily, but if you have dry skin you'll definitely need to be using a primer and moisturiser. As with all No7 foundations, the hassle of finding the right shade for you is pretty much non existent as you can get colour matched with their handy devices before buying. So, not only is it full coverage, easy to match your skin tone and lasts really well, it's also affordable at £13.50.
Now, I don't think this needs much introduction. There's no doubt you've heard about it already as it's an award winning foundation - but what's all the fuss about? Well, the only problem I've ever had with Double Wear is to find the right shade for my skin - and I still haven't quite found it yet. However, I can see exactly why it's loved by so many of us. It literally covers everything, blends really easily and stays put for as long as you want it. If you're getting ready at 7am, your makeup is still going to look pretty good but 7pm - who doesn't want that?! This is more expensive at £29.50, but if you can find the right shade for you, it's worth every penny.
Now, me and my skin didn't get on with this one at all. However, I know that skin types are very different and it is a good coverage foundation so I still want to recommend it to anyone looking for full coverage. It blends very easily, but for me I found that the foundation almost changed colour on my skin after a few minutes. The coverage is great though, with my favourite matte finish.
This is one of my all time favourites - I can't recommend this enough. It retails at the bargain price of £6.49, it literally masks any flaws and lasts really well too. I find that the shades are perfect for my skin tone, but this is because they are quite a lot of pale shades - there's not an awful lot of choice for darker skin. It lasts really well, occasionally needing a quick top up through out the day. It is quite a thick formula so I definitely recommend using a brush to apply. Stay Time is a hidden gem that is amazing for any full coverage lover.
