Catch Up: A Little Life Update

I've been a little confused about my blog lately. Sometimes, I am full of ideas and can only dream of having more time in the day to take photos, create wishlists and of course write my posts but then other days I'm left thinking - 'but what's the point?!' Well the point is, I started this blog because I love writing and creating and this is a place where I can express myself, be appreciated for it and see lots of others work too. I certainly don't want to give up on my blog because I've worked so hard for it to finally be the way I want to be, but sometimes the doubts keep coming back. I want to try and think of unique posts like I used to be able to but I also need to stop putting pressure on myself. Sometimes as you'll know if you're a blogger yourself, you can spend a good two hours working on a post only for it to receive no comments and hardly any views. I know that we aren't here for the views. comments and followers but at the end of the day it is like a sign of appreciation for our work isn't it?! So I love popping quick comments on my favourite blogs and I'm always looking out for new ones too. I'd like to know if anyone else is feeling a little confused about their blog too, because I still can't quite put my finger on it.

My Holiday.
I recently had an amazing six nights staying in the Maldives. I am planning on putting together a post to show you more photos because it's such a beautiful place, I really want everyone to experience it once in their lives. The beach was idyllic, the sun was shining, the staff were really friendly and welcoming and I just felt the most relaxed that I have in a very long time. I wish I could have bottled it up. We stayed at the Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa hotel, where we had a beach villa which had back doors which opened on to two personal sun loungers and just a seconds walk away from the sea. I wish I was back there right now!

My First Home.
For the past few years, my boyfriend and I have been saving up our earnings each month and we've finally got to where we wanted to be - we have had an offer accepted on our very first home. I love it so much and it was in our budget - it's a cellared house which means the kitchen and garden are downstairs, it's really quirky which is why I love it so much. It's still early days and the surveys are yet to go through so I am still preparing myself in case anything goes wrong between now and then. I won't relax and believe it's ours until the keys are in my hand!We have a lot of DIY planned (I'll be taking a back seat there!). I'm thinking of taking some before and after photos to share with you.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I've been keeping myself busy by making my way back through the Harry Potter series. I find them so easy to read and they completely take my mind off everything else that might be going on. I'm also planning on making a new scrapbook based on lots of things that might come in handy for my home, such as home decor ideas, tips and recipes - I need to start ripping up some magazines I think. Pinterest has been really helping me to get inspired with free printables I have found and of course loads more other tips and tricks. I've also had a few bargains on ebay this week which I'm really pleased about, I may pop them in a post too as well as some new homeware bits and bobs that I've bought.

Hope you enjoyed catching up with me or having a general nose - I love reading these kinds of post because I'm a nosy parker! x
