Re-Reading Harry Potter.

If you were to ask me what my favourite book was, I'd have to say any book from the Harry Potter series. Ever since I was young, I have always been a book worm what with my favourite books as a child being anything from Jacqueline Wilson and then of course I went on to Harry Potter. I think that the magic of JK Rowling's books is that they were never aimed at just children - parents loved them just as much. I remember my sister and I would both be excited to get our hands on the latest books and I still remember the day I finally picked up Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows - it was like a race against time to see how quickly I could get through it! Of course, we were then lucky enough to see the magic come alive with the eight films.

Although I have watched each of the films countless times and read the books once, I knew that it was time for me to revisit the magic of the books. As much as I love the films and I feel they really turned Harry Potter into the phenomenon it deserves to be - I find reading books easier to understand sometimes as I can fully focus on what is going on and reading back a few pages if I get confused! I'm currently reading Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire and I've been enjoying reading it in my lunch break at work as it brings back so many memories of my childhood and allows me to get lost in the book and forget about other things for a while. I've decided that after I've finished each book, I'm going back to the film of that book to see it on the big screen yet again. I've also loved the illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and I've since learnt that there will be an illustrated version of each book, so I'll definitely be collecting these over the years!

Are you a Harry Potter fan? x
